 Egypt - A diving holiday? - June 2010

Log Book 2010
Aircraft, volcanoes, non-divers and triggers – what have they got to do with an Egyptian diving holiday? Well hang on to your regulators and read on.

A little history to begin. I attended our dive club’s AGM where I was pleased to be presented with a certificate for being a fully paid up member who had not dived for the whole year (well some of us have to work)!

Shortly after, Maria and I received details of a club diving holiday in Egypt, my wife kindly pointed out that we should go, she being a serial holiday goer. Well OK, she is on the internet on a daily basis looking for them, but back to the story. Feeling a little guilty I thought she was right – OK I relented! The bookings duly took place, Mark being the kind of guy he is, sorted out the whole holiday for the club members.

 Scapa Flow June 2011

Club TripSpend a week diving the historic wrecks of Scapa Flow and the Orkney Isles from the Orkneys largest liveaboard dive boat, M.V. Invincible. Situated on the North East coast of Scotland, Scapa Flow is a large natural harbour and resting place to seven battleships of the German Fleet scuttled on the orders of Admiral Von Reuter at the end of WW1 - June 21, 1919. This is probably the finest wreck diving location in the UK, a must for enthusiasts.

Here a link to a video of the boat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qtmdas3BSl4

Trip Cost will be £400 plus travel this is for B&B Accommodation aboard the boat and all you diving.

Please contact Mark for more info
